The First Test Drive of the new model of Dacia gave us a chance to find out what’s new at this model that has not been covered at the previous Logan. Sandero is shorter for about 27cm, but you can’t tell that inside the cabin, the only difference is smaller loading space – 320 liters. But new, more modern compact design is on a Sandero’s side, which will be widely accepted, especially in Eastern Europe, thanks to the Renault motorization, as well. Interior design is something that has already been seen and we are used to, but some finer details and more quality work is definitely noticeable. There is enough space in the front and at the back also, even tall passengers will have no problem to enjoy longer journeys inside Sandero.
During the test drive, Sandero appeared stable and successfully swallowed bends without much effort. Because the car is tall, you have a feeling that you are sitting in mini-SUV. It is also satisfying in the category of comfort.
In other words, affordable, good car, with great Renault Engines in the front. The engines available are 1.4 MPI (77hp), 1.6 MPI(87hp), taken from Logan. Probably the most interesting engine for the European market is 1.5 dCi with only 4.5 liters/100km fuel consumption. There will be two versions with 70 and 85 hp. New diesel engines will be more environment friendly and will have less than 140 g/km, or to be compatible with bio fuel; also recyclable up to 95%.
This hot looking limousine, direct competitor to Mercedes S Class, BMW 7 Series and Audi A8, can be found on a marketplace for a considerably lower price. Some 30-40% off the price of her competitors. We have a real deal here, great value and impressive, massive, aristocratic style and presence....
The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is equally great at 7.6s, max speed is 230 km/h, and fuel consumption is about 8l/100km combined city/highway. Cruising is really relaxed with the comfort American style leather seats, suitable for long drive, and the engine allows easy overtaking when needed.
The exterior is appealing to most of the people, expensive looking, with high vehicle line and small windows, adding to the exotics and mystery. Big front lights and enormous wheels (18'' standard) filling wheel arches give the Chrysler sporty note.
Looking at interior, we can see some new design and style, not really suited to the European style, nor the American one. Clearly, the effort was this model to be equally appealing to all buyers at both sides of the Atlantic. Standard equipment is so big, it can fit on one A4 (letter) page. Luxury style inside and space for 5 big people is expected and a prerequisite for this class, and this car is accomplishing this.
Good Job Chrysler...

Some History About The Golf
Golf dynasty was born before 34 years and is still going stronger than ever. The first generation, Golf MK I was dominating the market between 1974 and 1983, followed by the second generation in the period 1983-1992. According to some people the second and the third one were the most successful at their time... The fourth generation appeared at 1998, which holds the top spot in the used market today. The Golf MK V was the most controversial and sportiest looking one, admired by some and hated by other, but the sales figures continued to grow and the bosses at WV were quite happy. Golf VI will be available in October 2008 across the Europe .
The Philosophy of this manufacturer (WV) is pretty clear... Slowly updating and refining the shape through the years and increasing market share and sales volume (more than 26 million sold to date)... No exotic experimenting allowed... The clients love this as they love the technology and reliability surrounding the Golf. In fact the current styling of Golf V started to grow on me after several months after the presentation.
The New Model
The starting price for the New Golf VI will be about 16.500 Euros in Germany. The new model is based on the current 5th generation, but will be few centimeters longer and wider. The influence of the scirocco is evidential and the new baby has more sportier and more elegant look than the predecessor. The materials inside are more refined, chosen carefully, the quality and the work improved and enhanced even more. The instruments and the console are now illuminated with new white color. Sound isolation is one more feature that is definitely noticeable in the Golf VI, and according to company the new Golf would be quietest model in the class...
The Motoring
The most interesting engines of course are the TDI line, especially with this kind of gas prices. TDI technology will be represented in two fashions: 2.0 TDI with 110hp and 140hp with the average fuel consumption respectively 4.5 and 4.9 liters per 100km. They will be followed with the weaker versions in the future but worth mentioning is also the one with 170hp. The queen on the table will be twin turbo TDI engine with 204hp. On the low end, we can expect even three-cylinder engine with 75hp and 180Nm, with combined cycle of just 3.9 l/100km.
Petrol technology will be available in 1.4(80hp) and 1.6(102hp) flavors. By 2010 they will be replaced with future TSI engines 1.2 (85hp and 105hp). Middle row will have 122hp and 160hp and the first line of attack is 2.0 TSI with 210hp and 272hp.
All engines have something in common: they are refined, more balanced, quieter, require less fuel and produce less emissions than before...Even more refined and tweaked is the gearbox and the DSG technology, which now changes gears more quickly and is way more efficient...
Latest production model at Maybach…This convertible version based on a uber-luxury saloon version is even more gorgeous and even less affordable…The powerplant is AMG co-designed V12 which uprates to 612 bhp/ 456kW with its two turbos.
The tradition-laden Maybach luxury brand is adding a fifth model to its line-up. The new Maybach Landaulet resurrects the legend of the classic luxury landaulets, a feature of which is that only the chauffeur's area is closed. An extra-large folding roof opens up over the pampered rear-seat passengers when required, leaving no obstructions between them and the blue sky above. The Maybach Landaulet thus offers a majestic open-air experience currently unrivalled by any other automobile. Boasting a certain romantic quality and allowing its passengers the opportunity to savour closeness to nature, this exceptional vehicle also features the ultimate in comfort and technological sophistication and as such sets the new standard for the world's most exclusive luxury saloons.
In November 2007, Maybach had revived the aura of the grand carriages of days gone by with its Landaulet study. The European premiere of this sparkling white one-off study is taking place at the 78th Geneva Motor Show. Even beforehand, however, the response from the public to this masterpiece has been overwhelming, so much so that Maybach decided to offer the hand-built Landaulet based exclusively on the customer's own specifications.
A limited number of vehicles will be built in the Manufaktur workshops in Sindelfingen over a restricted period. The finest materials are painstakingly handcrafted by select specialists to meet the customers' exacting requirements - just as the discerning Maybach clientele would expect. According to the latest Luxury Brand Status Index (LBSI), a survey of 531 U.S. millionaires recently voted Maybach the most prestigious luxury automobile brand.
